Is Iraq ready to become an independent country?

points that I will touch include the incidence when the man threw the shoe at president bush and his remarks were this:
"I could only see Bush and feel the blood of the innocents flow under his feet, as he was smiling that smile -- as if he had come to bid farewell to Iraq and with the last support and more than 1 million martyrs," al-Zaidi said. "At that moment, I felt this is the man who killed our nation ... the main murderer and the main person responsible for killing our nation."

with people that have this opinion they are not ready becuase we put there nation back on the map by helping them along

other issues include the fact that they held a few elections and turned out successful but on the flip side things like this are happening to the people that hold the elections:

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Insurgents in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul placed a bomb on a car carrying a local politician Sunday, wounding him in the blast, according to a Mosul police official.
Talib Muhsen, a member of the Al-Hadbaa electoral list, survived with injuries, the official said.

there are three different sides to the argument
-holding elections
-not being grateful for our help
-car bombings and continued violence
